Category Icons:
Re-establish Credit - Cards for people who have had credit problems in the past and need to re-establish credit.
Business Credit Cards - Cards which offer advantages to business, small business or corporations for using the card.
Instant Approval Credit Cards - Cards with applications that have a 60 second approval time (or less).
PrePaid Credit Cards - Cards which require card holders to pre-load a card prior to being able to use the available credit on the card.
CardPick Top Picks - Cards which the editor’s of CardPick.net have identified as Top Offers. Categories for top rewards, business, student and overall.
Regular Credit Cards - Cards with no special features or category distinctions.
Credit Cards with Rewards - Credit Card offers which feature a rewards program in addition to regular card features. Rewards typically come in the form of frequent flyer miles, cashback or retail rebates (gas, auto, hotel).
Student Credit Cards - Credit card offers geared toward students or young adults who would like to establish a credit history. For college students and people aged 18+ with no credit history.
Secured Credit Cards - Card offers which require a secure deposit from the card owner in order to use it. Cards in this category are for people who need to re-establish credit or cannot get a regular credit card.
Charge Cards - Charge cards are a special card type that can be “charged” like a credit card but do not allow card owner’s to carry a balance. All balance’s must be paid in full each reporting period.
Debit Cards - Cards that can be used at ATM machine’s or merchant’s to withdraw money from the card owner’s bank account and pay for services instantly.
Features Icons:
O% Introductory APR - cards with this feature allow user’s to transfer balance’s from other credit cards with an introductory interest rate of 0% (for a period of time known as the introductory period which is typically 6-12 months).
Balance Transfers - Cards with this feature allow user’s to consolidate balances from other credit cards to the new card.
Low Interest - cards with this feature have an annual APR rate less than 14%
No Annual Fees - Cards marked with this icon feature no annual fees or charges for maintaining your card and account with the issuer.
Rewards Icons:
Airline Frequent Flyer Credit Cards - Cards that offer airmiles (frequent flyer miles) for making purchases with the credit card.
Auto Rebates Credit Cards - Cards that offer rebates on new cars and parts.
Cashback Credit Cards - Cards with a cashback rewards program. Card owners are paid in cash for making purchases using the card.
Gas Rebates Credit Cards - Cards which allow the card owner to save money on gas through points earned on everyday purchases.
Hotel Rebates Credit Cards - Cards that allow card owners to save money on hotel accomodations (and some rentals) through points earned on everyday purchases.
Retail Rebates Credit Cards - Card owners save money on retail purchases through points earned by using the card for everyday purchases.
Special Rewards Credit Cards - Cards with multiple rewards or rewards that do not fit in a regular rewards category.
Travel Rewards Credit Cards - earn points which can be used to; book cheaper flights, book cheaper vehicle rentals, save money on restaurants and more.
